Valerie Schlitt

Owner and Founder

Valerie is a nationally recognized entrepreneur and business leader with more than 30 years of experience. A graduate of The Wharton School’s MBA program, Valerie held marketing management positions at large corporations and consulting roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG Consulting before starting VSA in the summer of 2001.

“Starting my own business was never something I thought about,” Valerie remembers, “Until I realized I had more of an entrepreneurial spirit than my corporate peers. I gravitated towards building something new. I loved generating tangible, quantifiable results that directly impacted the bottom line.” 

Valerie started the business in the living room of her Haddonfield, NJ home, with six phone lines and a couple of friends as her first employees. VSA’s first client was an Elder Law Attorney who wanted some telephone calls made to connect him to other professionals who served seniors and their caregivers.

From there, the business started to take off. When more of Valerie’s colleagues realized that her team could make sales calls, VSA branched into B2B Appointment Setting, mostly for local businesses in the area. With each successful campaign, word started to spread, and we were increasingly approached by larger, more complex clients.

Today, the company has more than 200 employees providing outbound, inbound, and other call center services for a national (and even international) base of clients in technology, healthcare, manufacturing, education, government, and more. We are among the nation’s most sophisticated B2B prospecting firms, focusing on complex products and services and intricate, customized prospecting processes. Meanwhile, our technology infrastructure has evolved to match: We have state-of-the-art voice, data, CRM, database, and other software capabilities that are second to none.

VSA has been named multiple times to the Inc. 5000, Philadelphia 100, and Philadelphia Business Journal Soaring 76 lists of fastest-growing companies. Valerie received the Gold Stevie® Award as the top in the category of Female Entrepreneur of the Year – Business Services in 2021, was named a Philadelphia Business Journal Most Admired CEO and was recognized by South Jersey Magazine as one of the 10 Most Outstanding Women in Business.

Dawn Stolte

Senior Vice President, Operations

Dawn oversees all aspects of VSA’s daily operations, leveraging her strong organizational skills, people insights, and management strengths. She has a proven track record of creating management teams that best utilize employee skillsets while introducing processes and procedures that optimize results for our clients. Dawn knows how to lead, while always remaining a true team player. Starting as Program Manager in 2021, Dawn was quickly promoted to head up VSA’s sister company, PubSEG, which delivers contact tracing services; she has retained this role.  There, Dawn leveraged her experience in the field of public health and nursing. Prior to joining VSA, Dawn assisted in the development of the first Medical Assistant Apprenticeship Program in New Jersey and helped with the development and implementation of multiple medical assistant courses for National Louis University.

Jennifer Burke

Director of Workforce Management

Jenn joined VSA in 2021 after more than 20 years of experience in project management and customer service. As the Director of Workforce Management, she is instrumental in assisting employees with day-to-day concerns. Jenn oversees all scheduling, time tracking, payroll, attendance monitoring, and communications with HR. She loves finding ways to streamline processes to make the workday run more smoothly and efficiently for everyone. Previously, she worked as a project manager for a software translation company and as the Business Planning Coordinator for Educational Testing Service in Princeton.

Lisa Doyle

Senior Program Manager

Lisa joined VSA in October 2013 as a part-time Business Development Representative. It wasn’t long before she was promoted to Program Manager, where her responsibilities included working closely alongside specific clients to ensure successful campaigns. She was also trained in certain tech tasks and was responsible for handling VSA’s CRM software report data. Lisa oversees one of VSA’s longest-running clients. As Senior Program Manager, she serves as a point of contact/support person for the other Program Managers, and as an assistant to the Director of Operations. A lifelong South Jersey resident, Lisa has a BA in Economics from Rutgers Camden. Prior to joining VSA, she worked in the insurance industry in various positions, from Operations Supervisor/Manager to IT support.
