Prospecting Firm Helps Clients in Downward EconomyVSA adds courses to help clients use internal resources for telephone cold calling.Haddonfield-based VSA, a B2B prospecting firm, announces an expansion of the firm's services, designed to help clients combat the economic downturn. VSA is an outsourced sales support company. The firm's professional callers make business cold calls to set sales appointments for clients. Shifting to meet new client needs, VSA has recently added mini-courses to help companies launch their own in-house prospecting programs. "Especially in this economic climate, we believe firms should aggressively prospect for new business. Companies hire us because our experienced team of cold callers. "But, some firms have decided against using outside resources and instead are asking existing staff to cold call, with little prior knowledge," said Valerie Schlitt, president and founder of VSA. VSA's new mini-courses help companies learn what it takes to build and manage a strong telephone cold calling operation - however big or small. Courses are for management and caller-level employees. VSA came to the decision to offer courses by seeing a trend towards internal cold calling activities, despite companies' not having the experience to make calls or manage internal telephone prospecting activities. Schlitt said, "Our management team began planning a series of mini-courses. Then, unexpectedly, a former client asked us to help train their internal staff. This request definitely emphasized that a market need existed," said Schlitt. VSA believes the result of its new mini-courses on cold calling will be improved bottom lines for clients. VSA continues to employ a team of professional callers for clients who want to outsource their prospecting programs.
