Founder and President
Valerie launched VSA in 2001 after 18 years in Marketing Management and Consulting roles at American Express, Travelers, CIGNA, PricewaterhouseCoopers and KPMG Consulting
Valerie believes her prior roles focusing on delivering bottom line results, quickly grasping and developing solutions to client needs and the deployment of technology & process improvements have proven to be the perfect background for her leadership of VSA. Plus, Valerie is a self-proclaimed workaholic and has an eye for talent.
Valerie earned a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from The Wharton School.
Maureen Noone Tucker
Director of Account Management
Maureen joined VSA in 2011 as an Account Manager and in 2013 was promoted to Director of Account Management. Maureen helps VSA clients achieve prospecting goals by quickly understanding their needs and designing programs to meet them. Maureen thrives on new challenges, has unsurpassed energy, loves meeting new clients and does almost whatever is necessary to produce results for clients.
Maureen came to VSA with a diverse background that seems to be a great match for her current role. Her business background is in corporate safety and environmental health, as well as sales and marketing at both ALCOA and Addison Wesley Publishing Company. Additionally, for many years, Maureen taught children with special needs after earning her NJ Teaching Certification and State of NJ Endorsement for Teacher of Students with Disabilities. The combination of strong business acumen and considerable instructional expertise has given Maureen the foundation for creating winning programs for our clients.
Lisa joined VSA in 2011 after co-founding and running a successful medical equipment sales & service firm for 20 years. Her entrepreneurial experience, knowledge of small business operations and commitment to delivering results for clients have made her a great asset to VSA. Lisa started as a Professional Caller and consistently worked on VSA’s most challenging clients. In 2013, Lisa was promoted to Account Manager. Lisa wears other hats at VSA, and played a major role recruiting new callers to VSA during our growth in 2013. She is also on the team leading the development of our new scheduling and payroll software.
Lisa lives in a neighboring town and has three children. Ever the sales person, she recently recruited her oldest daughter into VSA as a Professional Caller.
Whittier joined VSA in 2013 and quickly became responsible for all internal IT projects involved in client set-up and reporting as well as the daily internal management of our voice and data networks. Whittier works with a range of systems including VSA’s proprietary CRM, our telephone software and desktop software. He is the key interface with our Managed Services firm and VOIP carrier. Whittier brings creative and out of the box thinking to VSA and has streamlined many of our processes.
Whittier attended Juniata College in Pennsylvania and graduated from Richard Stockton College of New Jersey with a BA in Environmental Studies.
Special Projects Manager
Linda worked with VSA on a temporary basis before officially joining the team in 2013. A successful business owner with over a dozen years of experience in fundraising, public relations and event planning in the private and public sectors, Linda brings her sales and marketing skills to VSA, particularly in project management and social media. Linda is thrilled to be writing VSA’s blog, moderating Facebook and Twitter posts, and coordinating marketing functions. She encourages colleagues and clients to volunteer in local charitable activities, as well as experiencing opportunities to volunteer in other areas of the world where they may travel. Linda earned a BA in Business Administration from Rutgers University, where she continues to be active in Alumni Board activities.
Skill Builder, Newsletter Coordinator
Susan joined VSA in October of 2005 after several years as a preschool teacher and director. Susan has carried many roles at VSA. Starting in an administrative capacity, she became a Professional Caller in 2007. Her natural sales skills and desire to produce for her clients have made Susan one of our most successful telephone prospectors. Susan also holds roles as Client Newsletter Specialist and Manager of Print Directories, overseeing telephone research and print production. Most recently, Susan headed up a series of Skill Building sessions to help new callers. In her off time Susan is training for a marathon and she resides nearby with her husband of 25 years and two children.
